I don't think you could find one of those for $200.

The sigma 70-300 APO is simply the best lens for that amount of money, its small at its 70mm setting, its light, has a softcase and reversible hood included, has a front center pinch cap so its easy to put on or remove even with the hood in place. We get a little worse weather here in Ireland than you do in the UK, and it copes fine with our light levels outdoors.

Oh and it works on Film or Full Frame also

Here is a film shot from Monday morning, no processing.

And a digital shot with no processing from the same day.

Both handheld, thats a lot of pure IQ for very little cash, but get the APO version its miles ahead of the non-APO.

The Siggy APO is a very nice lens and the Macro shots on it are really nice too!

Staying within your budget, the Sigma 70-300 APO fits the bill. I love my copy of this lens so far. You can find it used for under $200 shipped to your door. Even new it's only $209 at B&H (before tax and shipping).

Great Lens once you find that sweet spot around f8 a bit slow to AF but it's ok .
