This shows some nice natural colors (10k spectrum) shooting thru an aquarium bow front glass... Captured every color of my aquarium. I know its a little bit out focus, but its a hard to get great picture due conditions (almost everything is in movement...)

Thanks Bill,

Here an example adding 15k spectrum, this will bring us a little blue-ish tone, but a the expense of high iso setting. I like how this camera captures every color in a high lightining envirorment thru a bow front glass. For a high iso(800) shot, its not that bad. I've seen worst using other expensive P&S.

Never tried a 1D3 with the 28-300 L, have you? 11x zoom and a featherweight 2.8Kg.

Very good point Jon. I use the SX10 IS now and it is a huge advantage in size and weight over its predesessor the XTi with a Tamron 28mm - 300mm VC lens. The SX10 fits in many of my jacket pockets, easily under my jacket in the rain and for super weather protection, in a medium zip lock bag. Compared to my old camera - light as a feather!

Yep. I was out Saturday with the SX1 and 420EX flash, then Sunday with the 1D3, 28-300, SX1 and 580EX (plus the requisite spare batteries and cards as appropriate both days). Quite a difference.

That is a nice shot. However, it looks like you may have focused on the flag and just missed focus on the flowers by a little bit as the flag seems sharper than the flowers. Maybe try focusing on the flowers and while still holding the shutter button half way down, reframe the shot and then push the shutter button the full way down.

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum. I got my SX10 about a month ago - still have so much to learn!
