Are you on a PC? If so, doesn't the camera show up as a removable drive in Windows Explorer?

It sounds like your office needs to get its act together. Go out to Radio Shack or Best Buy during lunch and get a $10 USB CF card reader. Take the card out of the camera. Plug it into the reader. Plug the reader into a USB port on the PC. It will appear as a new disk drive in Windows Explorer. Copy the files. You weren't shooting raw, were you? If so, you're SOL unless you have Adobe RAW.
