Hey all,

I just had some prints done at MPIX...Decent size, they were both done in 12x18. One was a portrait (external link) of my son in BW and the other I have posted on here (external link) before. For the portrait I had it printed on the BW paper and for the other on the Metallic paper. All I can say is WOW...Both prints turned out fantastic. The Metallic paper is really quite impressive.

The shipping was cheap and very fast. I would recommend MPIX to anyone who needs prints.

I am going to try out WHCC next. They offer a few different options and if I remember correctly they have free shipping and can accept AdobeRGB files, for those who use it. I will post up my experience with them at a later date.

Happy Shooting,

MK

I also like Mpix, but then moved on to their parent company Millers Lab and LOVE them. While Mpix prints are nice, Millers are MUCH better.

In my experience with both I found that my prints with Mpix were coming back consistently underexposed and when sending the same print into Millers the exposure was right on (matching my monitor). Millers customer service is excellent, their Remote Studio makes uploading, previewing, ordering MUCH easier. Miller's paper seems thicker and of better quality. They offer a wide variety of paper choices and textures (linen, pebble, and many more). They offer a very wide variety of products (as does Mpix). For $3 you can get boutique packaging which (for me) makes the presentation of prints to the client much nicer. Millers also has online courses to teach how to use their remote studio (which is easy enough to use without the course, but nice to have just in case). Millers website is easy to navigate, easy to find what you're looking for. All in all I find Millers much more professional and of better quality.
