In the endless pursuit of efficiency, I have come to question my methodology to towel off from my daily shower if I am in a rush. For years I have always started with face and front neck, then I dry the left arm, right arm, front torso, and then go right to the back (before the legs), and with the towel pulled tight like a rope, if start from top of neck and pull back and forth like playing a fiddle all the way down to the feet, all the way down the back, and then I come back up the front of the legs back to the stomach. All that is left now is the hair, which I keep wet to prolong the lag time between dress and hair dryer to prevent premature drying, unless I am wearing a hat that day, in which case I towel the hair at that point.

Usually, that entire routine takes me less than 20 seconds. But is there a faster way? Assume your wife/husband or significant other is PISSED that you were out all day snapping photos and because you needed that LAST shot you are now 20 minutes late to go to some boring dinner with the in-laws and if you are not showered and ready in 5 minutes you aint gettin any tonight. :o

because its raining in NY today. So her shoes got dirty and she's having a bad hair day. So, she'll now drink tonight and you'll have a window of opportunity, but you'll go eat instead, and then she'll get tired later. You may get some in the morning.

well, you're almost right, 'cept for the fact that she hasn't had a drink in 15 years; nor have I.

HOWEVER, you are correct, I do get it in the morning.

Seems some of us are lucky once a year. And others are late for work due to luck. Then others of us are robbed of sleep because were supposed to be lucky, but in reality it is considered a work out.

Well, I dunno about Finland, but in the U.S., that's how one gets a family!

Well, since nobody else is sharing I guess I will.

First I kinda squeegee my face with my hands, then shake my head while hitting my hair in the opposite direction my head is shaking. This helps to get rid of a lot of the excess water stuck in my hair(about 5in long at the moment). Then I squeegee off the rest of my body with my hands.
I get one towel and do a first run on the hair, making sure the side of the towel with the tag is opposite me, and the tag is on the bottom. This is to make sure I always dry my hair with the same part of the towel, because I then use the same towel to dry my body, but only with the side with the tag on it. This prevents me from drying my hair and face with something I previously rubbed certain "areas" with. I mean, I know I just cleaned them, but there's still something weird about it.
Then I wear that towel about my waist and use a second towel to do the main hair drying and to get any spots I missed on my upper body.
I then chill in the apartment wearing the towel until I have to go somewhere or sleep or something.

I don't use any fancy flossing techniques, but it works pretty well for me.
I just need shorter hair so's I can save on towels.

Showering.....I have the heat lamps on in the bathroom so once I'm finished in the shower I wrap the towel around me, brush my teeth and hair so once I'm done doing that I'm all dry, so I'm not actually wasting any time at all in drying myself.

Take this from the person who has mastered the art of sleeping as long as possible and taking as little time as possible for getting ready for work -between 7-8 minutes now from getting up to leaving in my car

I really like the way you kept this topic loosely related to photography. So funny.

Well, after a long day taking photos. I like to relax in a nice shower. Then I just spin really fast (ninja style) till I'm dry.

I don't have to be serious answering this one do I?
