Just got snoot and relector grid set

Only arrived today and boy are they expensive for a bit of plastic and metal, oh well I think they will do the job and I want to look professional when I start getting people in for shoots.

This was a quick setup and shoot I know a lot of things I did wrong and will change next time. the edit is about 5 mins worth.

I would have rather have used a seamless paper background instead of cloth but I was let down by the company I ordered from, ahhhhh.

Anyway crit away, My daughter Isabelle again.

yeah elinchrom here. I do think that the grid is the really over priced part but from first go well worth it.

Love the behind the scenes! That gives me a great idea on mounting my seamless roll to the ceiling, so I can keep my cloth backdrop set up behind it... hmm....

Can you give me some info about that canvas-looking-background-thingy leaning up against the wall on the right? It looks intriguing...

Svetlana the balloons were there for a party we were having the next day but they do come in handy to keep kids quiet for a while

Ahem... you forgot to answer the question about the thing against the wall

sorry ttgator, I have 2 backets hanging from the wall (timber studs behind that wall) and a length of pipe running through the background paper roll. the cloth is rolled up around a cardboard tube so I just placed it on top of the background paper.

Thats it really, simple and cheap.

What're you gonna do when she grows up? You've done a lot with that small space.

lol, Ive taken full length shoots and group shots in that space, not the best but can be done with good results, just takes a little extra photoshop to remove stands poking in etc
