Anyone using SmugMug to upload your HD video? What's your experience like? Pros and cons?

I am interested in this too - but will find out regardless. They do have some crazy fast servers - from certain places, I can upload a several gigs of photos in half an hour. Laforet's video was up on Smugmug for awhile...

In my initial video uploading experience with SmugMug, I found that the speed was really slow such that I often started the uploading before going to sleep and checking it back the next morning. Also, I found that during playback, it often pauses in split seconds here and there. The same uploaded video then plays flawlessly when I play it at some other time. I'm hoping to see my video experience improve with time.

I uploaded a movie directly from iMovie 08 output (web options I think, highest quality). Smugmug handled all the conversion for the different sizes. Streaming was perfect presuming your connection was good.

Uploading was fine for me. At home, my upload speeds are anywhere from 30-70KB/s. That's just painful no matter what. At work, I was doing 6-7x better.

that's odd.. why did it load the quicktime plugin for me, maybe that's why it's not working w/ chrome? I was under the impression they ditched that for flash completely. My videos were like that.

it plays for me in IE or firefox, but not chrome.

chrome has serious issues with flash and really any type of video.
