Carl, LOVE the lighting on that one of your wife. What studio strobes did you use? I have my first maternity coming up. Would love placement and settings if you remember.

but i would like to see her turned just to a little bit of an angle.. looking at her belly..shirt up just over her belly.. sometimes a more thoughtful looks brings a little bit more interest to the image.. but like i said.. i like it just fine.

i hear ya. thanks,

we did some different poses but in some of them she looks like she is grunting because she's trying not to have a double chin. She's straining to position her head and they didnt look good or comfortable.

I love how the sky is a nice colour match to her shirt. It kinda ties in both the subject to the background. ...interesting background!

One idea is to go on flickr or your photo hosting site of choice and just search the word "maternity" and you will get back more photos than you will want to look through. Just scan through them and get some ideas for poses, props, backdrops, etc. I also have some maternity shots on my flickr page -feel free to check them out for ideas - http://www.flickr.com …d/sets/72157603215885761/ (external link) - scroll down, you will see pregnant ladies :D
