Is Canon a blue-ribbon winner or a gold medal finalist? Or maybe neither? You make the call. Taken tonight during the DIY lightbox experiments.

I like the blue much more, mostly for the way the blue light seems to be filling the lens (looks a little blown out in the gold shot).

completely agree, it just pops better. I also like how the blue fills out the lens as well. Both great images though!

Photographs are records of life. Pity they don't make music when you put them in a record player. :p

The blue looks more regal IMO... I can see dust on the lens filter :P

Looks like so far the blue-ribbon is it. Thanks one and all for the input. I like the blue the best also. But as you can tell that blue holiday wrapping paper I used as backround is a lower quality paper. The lines in it drive me to distraction. The gold paper is alot heavier and lays better but the green cast of the gold paper kind of messes up the color.

As long as I can get a mention it is OK fine by me.

Gold...blue loses too much detail in the camera body.
