was just wondering if anyone here is familiar with shooting on super 8mm.. i got myself a canon zoom 518 a while back & am ready to start shooting stuff on it

I used to shoot Super 8. The camera I had was the one without the audio so I used to shoot the film while recording the audio on a separate stereo audio cassette recorder. I built myself a tone generator that turned on every time I shot the video and recorded the tone along with the audio (on separate channels) so that I could hopefully sync the sound to the film in post. This was in the mid 80's. I really couldn't do anything with the sound until I started dabbling with video editing software on the PC in the late 90's. I could then mix the audio to the video fully synchronized. ...Leo

I'm not sure if you can still just drop that film off at your neighborhood drugstore anymore. ...Leo

Good luck, and thanks for bringing back some good times of movie film & old sheets for screens.
