I shot this, and processed it to add a little grain, and give it a bit of film and retro look. I know the eyes are completely sharp, but curious if it works for you.

I like it. I think I would like a tiny bit more contrast, but otherwise, it works for me.

yeah, I think I needed to load it in photoshop, apply an s curve, and mask the eyes. the reason I did not put too much contrast, is that it was darkening the eyes too much. good suggestion

Here's a little edit I did. Hope you don't mind.

1. Brightness -5
2. Contrast +6
3. Little dodge and burn on the eyes
4. Little USM (50%, 1.5 pixels)
