I have a few actions of my own in CS3 that I'd like to try out in the trial version of CS4 but for the life of me can't seem to locate them in the Adobe\CS3 folder anywhere. I see the Adobe stuff but not mine. _

Any suggestions? ... thanks

Photoshop loads actions into a cache. Your original coy of the actions remains where you loaded them from.

If you no longer have your original .ATN files, you can have Photoshop save the individual action sets as .ATN files.

(1) Select an action set.
(2) Open the flyout menu for the Actions palette.
(3) Select the Save actions . . . menu item.
(4) Save the actions wherever you like.

Then go to CS4 and load them. You can drag-n-drop the .ATN files or use the Actions palette flyout menu and the Load actions . . . menu item.

Cheers,

Mitch

Worked great Mitch. Most of my Plug-ins have migrated over just fine too. Thanks!

Make sure you do this every time you change your actions, and back the actions up, otherwise you'll lose them if you reinstall photoshop or have to reinstall your OS.
