DxOMark launch raw file image quality database

DxO have launched a new site called DxOMark that rates camera bodies based on a machine analysis of the raw image.

My first comment is that there's something not right about the 1D III low-light rating.

The results seem to be biased towards higher pixel count (50D > 40D, 1DsII > 5D, 5D > 1DIII, etc.). At the same time, there doesn't seem to be any indication that detail rendition is part of their analysis. It seems like a nice tool, but it looks like it needs a little tweaking.

I think the analysis by Clarkvision is much more in line with real world results.

Oh...and I just noticed that they ranked the a900 above the 5D for ISO performance.
