I'm fairly confident this will have been posted before, but I've searched and can't find the answer!

I'm running a laptop on XP home, and have just upgraded from CS to CS4. I've also done a clean format of the hard drive to help things run smooth.

Previously, I had the option of right clicking on an image or group of images, and selecting "Edit with Photoshop". Now I've re-installed, it's gone.

I still have the option of "Edit with" and then choosing Photoshop, nut you can only select one image at a time.

I'm sure that there's a simple fix, I just have no idea what it is!

Any help appreciated!

Adobe kb article - How to change file associations (Windows XP, 2000)
http://kb.adobe.com …ternalId=315812&sliceId=1 (external link)

In Windows Explorer, right-click a file whose file association you want to change. For example, if you want to change the file association for all TIFF files, click a TIFF file.

Choose Open With > Choose Program (Windows XP) or Open With (Windows 2000) from the pop-up menu.

In the Open With dialog box, select the application with which you want to associate the file format. If the application isn't listed, click Browse (Windows XP) or Other (Windows 2000), and then locate and select the desired application.

Select "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" (Windows XP) or "Always use this program to open files of this type" (Windows 2000), and click OK.

Thanks but I already know about that (all my Tiff files open in Photoshop that way).

I usually open the J-pegs in picture & fax viewer, purely for the sake of viewing. When I previously had CS installed, it had an option when you right clicked: Edit with Photoshop.

You could select as many files as you wanted and open them all up in CS.

Any ideas??

If you do as overclicker said but don't click the 'Always use' box, the application you selected will be added to the 'Open with' list.
