Hi, I have a question here. My MKIIN shutter has problem last week. The total shot is only at 16K. I always use for sport shotting. At least 40% use for continue shotting (3 frame). Does this shutter design total shot different with shotting mode? I mean if use for normal shot and continue shot has different life span? Hope someone can answer my question.

Many thanks and regards!

It shouldn't matter what drive mode you're shooting in. A shutter can fail for various reasons and it looks like yours failed sooner than some others.

What sort of problem? Is it still functional? Are the images now fine?

Hi, Thanks for the help. There always show ERR99, image still sharp as normal, but part of image is black. Just send it to CSC to check. Do not know why just pass 15K count, it has problem. Anyone has face the same problem before? Do not how much the charges yet.

Regards!

Yep-- sometimes they just fail. Typically they really are work horses though. I have a IIn that seems to have a slow shutter. Might be time to send her in for a little love. I hesitate because I would miss her soo much!

Hi, Thanks. I do love my MKIIn also. I have tried 5D before, once I hold it, I think I still like IIn. Hope after change shutter, it will like work horses!

I have several bodies but really my MkII and IIn's are hard to beat. I do about 30 weddings per year--- but in the past two years have been doing sports-- can't beat the pro bodies in sports --- the dead nuts focus is amazing.
