Went to Wales last weekend for the 2008 Real Ale Wobble, its a mountain biking event combined with a real ale festival and has beer to taste at the feed stations!!
We rode Fri, Sat and Sun and heres a few shots I took over the 3 rides. It rained for most of it and as you can see it was muddy :-)

C&C welcome

All very nice!

As a cyclist, I like #1, but can you zoom in so we can see the mud on their faces? I don't care much for the trees up on top. As nice as they are, if the focus is 'muddy riders', then give us a good close up of the riders and the road. :)

all nice but the second is just so far above the rest as to make me forget there are others in the post. Just awesome on that one. The third doesn't do much since I don't see faces really and there's nothing particularly noteworthy in lighting or terrain. #4 seems to give more attention to the tree than the rider. I like the framing attempt though. Not a huge fan of that angle on #5 but that's just me and #6 has big potential but its just a litte too tough to find the riders, maybe just a little tighter on that if you can keep the stream in the shot.

All nice pictures and nice scenery, but not really great MTB pictures.

Thanks for the comments guys, I was going for shots that put the sport into its surroundings rather than the close up shots of riders. So looking at the comments I succeeded.

Thanks again for taking the time and helping me learn :-)

Nice shots.

As a mountain biker, that looks like a great place to ride.
