Is it possible to get bridge without photoshop. Wouldn't mind using ACR and Bridge together but don't need photoshop. Thoughts?

AFAIK, Bridge is simply a component that comes with one of the paid programs with Adobe. Did you try looking on their site to see if it can be downloaded independently of anything else?

I take it that you are using a different editing program other than photoshop to finish them off after you have ran them through ACR?

If that is what you are interested in, why wouldn't you just purchase Lightroom. It is a better easier to use "organizer" compared to Bridge and the RAW conveter in Lightroom is also more powerful than the one in Bridge.

I don't disagree that Lightroom is a good solution but it is not for everyone. Actually the version of ACR in CS4 is exactly the same converter engine as it is in Lightroom 2.x.

The one is only looking for a RAW conversion program then Lightroom offers little in this regards over ACR other than a pretty interface. Not everyone is keywording and managing catalogs as Lightroom has set out the process.

For those that haven't seen the new Bridge that comes with CS4 it is alot better than its predecessor and does just about everything faster.

I still prefer photoshop for printing, I do all of my web output from there as well. I am simply using it for its cataloging system right now and while there will use its RAW converter. However, since the release of C1 4 Pro I have started using that more for the conversion process.

Ya, I don't like a database managed program. I have LR 1.4, will not upgrade. Using DPP, but it doesn't offer keywording and tagging.
