Hi Brooke. What class are you in?

She has got to be in the upper class I would say.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

Hi Brooke. What class are you in?

Or maybe high class. Not like me, I'm definitely low call, maybe even no class.

Edgar Allen? I concur that does sound boring.

Yep, Edgar Allen.

I am hoping that the stories get better as the class goes on, right now, they are very old short stories, but I think they are supposed to get more modern.

I'd rather learn about EAP than sit in the Cheyenne Civic Center all day, being beat to death with powerpoints over common sense type material.

Thats why they invented conference bridges, netmeetings, and POTN. You just described 1/2 of my day.

Every 2 hour meeting has maybe 20 minutes when I have to really pay attention. So I listen in to the meetings keeping an ear out for key words. When I hear it, I cut my attention to the meeting, participate, add my value, then go back to POTN.

Every once in a while I get burned and someone will ask me a question ehich I was not ready for because I was playing around in POTN. But I have become ver adapt at answering those types of question without giving away that I have not been paying attention. For example:

meeting: blablablablablablabla.. John, what do you thing?
ME: Well... I'm not quite sure exactly what your asking, can you rephrase the question?

or
meeting: blablablablablablabla.. John, is your team going to be ready?
ME: It sound like we will be but I am still not totally clear on a few points. Lets cover this after the meeting.

Everyone walks away happy, I added my little piece of value. I didn't have to listed to hours of blowhards who just like to hear thier own voice, and I get to surf POTN. Life is good. :)

Wow...it's been a long time without a post.

Oh, well.

If any of you XT/Xti folks are looking for a grip I have a canon one I will be selling. It's not brand new like Diane's is but it's in great shape.
