Hello everyone!

I had to get up at 5AM this morning, which is way to early for me haha, but I am going to have to start doing it every friday so I better get used to it.

I didn't sleep well either, so I am extra tired. I am glad I don't have to work today, I can take a nap.

Skipping the last 5 pages. Been gone been busy. I don't know if I had stated that we're not getting the house we wanted but we're renting one that needs some minor updating out of the 70s. The landlord is my sister in law's grandmother and dad so we've been given free reign of decorating and updating whatever we want. We'll be moving the first week in February. I will be posting work that we've been doing to it as we do it on my blog.
My baby turned 2 yesterday. His party is tonight. We're not sure what kind of turnout we'll have since it's frigid outside. Right now is the first time it's been above 0 in a couple days and it's a whopping 1F. Our heater bit the dust last night. So we've got space heaters and a kerosene heater going because we have no other choice at this point. The kids had school cancelled on Wed for snow and wind, yesterday because of the high of -3 windchill high of -30, today because it's still freakin cold. No school on Monday either.
Blog has a few random photos from yesterday of the monkey and his cake if you're interested. The photo of the cake sucks imo and I'll get a better one tonight with him with it.
I have to go finish cleaning up the confectioners sugar explosion in my kitchen from making fondant and buttercream icing last night. Everything has a light dusting over it.

Hey Brooke! 5am is pretty early... I'm up before 6 every day and most of the times around 7 on the weekends LOL. I am just like that though.

Wow Leigh - sounds like you have been busy! It definitely has been cold in your neck of the woods, but warmth is on its way.

We are in the 50s today, and have 50s scheduled for the next 7 days out!!!!! YEEEEEEEHAWWWWWWWWWW thank goodness. I would love some snow, but not frigid cold weather - nor wind!!!!!! So, I guess if it has to be 50, I will take it.

Hmm...Circuit city just closed down, poor them , thats another 30k jobs...

I took my son to work the other day. The Jewel he works at is in a rather large strip mall of maybe 30 stores. Since xmas, over 1/2 of them are not gone and out of business and it seems to be accelerating.

its quite sad to see countries fall because of a governments(global) mistake..

today, at about 12:00, Atm's stopped functioning due to no money being available for the time being, it was quite sudden too.

Also many banks are reporting bankruptcy, and small businesses are disappearing fast!

I knew Circuity City was going downhill fast, and that was two years ago. I am surprised it took them this long to finally go under.

When the went in and fired their management and hired new, it really did them in, IMO. We don't have a Best Buy here - we might not for some time now. Before this recession I was thinking we may see one by 2010. Not now though, but maybe..... It is the only true electronics store here. We have the typical office supply stores.... and Sears. so I guess with that, people can still get their TVs and computers.

Crazzzzzyyyy.... I'm gonna check and see what deals come out. May get a 50D or something

Maybe it's time to take a trip there and see if there are any camera deals to be had. I am assuming everything's going to go on sale, or are they just boarding up the entire store chain?

I am putting money aside incase they do mark down some cameras. Don't think I'll be getting the 5d like planned. If everything works out I'll have a used 30d by the end of the month and would like to get a 40d or 50d if possible and the husband needs a GPS for work.

Well, we dont have a global electronic store here in dubai, only Virgin megastore, so everything is much more expensive, i cannot believe that ordering from outside is saving me $1000k and more.

Good morning everyone! Got my blackberry curve last night. I love it so far! Finally went through and dwindled down my contact list - from 240 to 148. LOL I have the print out of all of them so if I ever need it, it will be in the safe. But the ones I left out I dont ever talk to anymore.
