I know... that's what they've said though. Natalie's sister had her first 6 weeks early and she was fine, just small (4lbs something) and her second was pretty much full term.

Natalie was diagnosed with gestational diabetes.... but she is tracking her blood sugars 4 times a day and so far it isnt even CLOSEEEEEE to the point where they want her to call if it reaches.

They were 88 after lunch, 68 after dinner... and 78 this morning. I really dont think she has it. And the dr or whoever said that she was just at the point where they like to monitor them, because she was at 90 something during the glucose test.

Yeah.

They want them below 120 after eating.... she tests after a certain time.... 30 mins, an hour or two hours, I cant remember. And then fasting is like anytime over 3-4 hours I guess, and then they should be under 90.

Hmm I guess I dont have my slideshows up now that I went through and cleaned up the blog. I will try and create one tomorrow and get around to uploading it if time permits. I'll see what I can do to help you.

LOL, couple days late, but ok, sounds good!

Just a few weeks.... does that really matter?!

It really can...especially with lung development. My daughter seemed perfectly healthy at birth (3 weeks early) but has terrible asthma already...the specialist is attributing it to her being early.

REALLY?!?! Over 2 months early and healthy with no problems?!?!? WOW!

That kind of amazes me too actually.

+1, hope her levels stay where they're supposed to. That can be some scary stuff.

very much so. I was extremely lucky with my first who was born 4 weeks early. She came home 2 days later but they had to monitor her closely and we did for almost 2 months after she was born

my mom only carried each of us kids for 8 months. and we were all done. It's kinda a funny thing if the mom is healthy and there isn't some outside influence the baby will come when it is fully developed. sometimes that is 'early' sometime 'late'. I would definitely listen to the doc on this one, if he says things look healthy then 2 weeks 'early' is right on time.

I was wondering why I was so Hungry! then I looked at the clock. I'm headed out for lunch, see ya'll after a bit.

All 4 of our kids were early. My eldest was 6 weeks early, my daughter 4 weeks and the last two knuckleheads 3 weeks early apiece. Other than the two youngest being knuckleheads, all are fine.

Morning all!

Jeff I want to see some pictures of all the stuff you guys have been buying for Jacob, and especially the nursery!

I have been trying to decide if I should buy my own snowboard gear, I have found some great deals, but I just don't know yet if I should go for it. I hate decisions that involve money!!! Gah!

I have been looking, but because I have found such good deals it is about the same price to buy new stuff.

at this point it may be better to wait for the after season sales or the early season sales around Thanksgiving... 40-70% off last years gear
