Here is a fun christmas shot that I took last year... do you like the sepia affect on it?
I do like the sepia affect you've added, just wish it was cropped in to where all the interesting stuff was (I.E. the light area)

It happens every year around thanksgiving. I remember the first time it happened I jumped out of bed convinced that my heart had stopped and I had but minutes to live. This was late at night and everyone was asleep. It happened several times within a few weeks and had me panicked enough to go talk to the doc. They found nothing wrong and I even had a complete stress test. By December they had stopped but the next year the same thing happened. I went to the doc right away and he did all kind of tests. I was poking myself checking some blood levels every hour and again he found nothing. By the third year when the same thing happened he concluded that I was suffering from SAD. He recommended that starting early in November I get out a lot and get lots of sun. Since then I still get the attacks but they are much less severe. I can laugh about them during the day but at 3:00 in the morning when I’m frantically looking for a pulse convinced my heart has stopped it’s not so funny. I'm bipolar, very mildly compared to many, but the winter kicks my butt. This is the first year in 4 years that I've had to take antidepressants and anti anxieties. It sucks. Generally I can control it with exercise, diet, sun, and vitamins. Leigh

Generally I can control it with exercise, diet, sun, and vitamins. Umm fish oils and extra vit. d via vitamins helps a lot too. I take them both and they help out a lot. I actually need more I'm just about out of the Vit. D and out of the fish oils. That's about what the doc told me. It stems from a difficulty metabolizing vitamin D. The exercise part seems to do the most. Not sure why, but call me JJ.

This sounds stupid to a lot of guys, but are you able to visit a tanning bed/booth even once a week? JakPot wrote in post #6806062 I do like the sepia affect you've added, just wish it was cropped in to where all the interesting stuff was (I.E. the light area) I have to agree on the crop, but I love the shot, its beautifully lit! (cuz you know, lmbo, I'm SUCH and expert on lighting. :rolleyes abbie wrote in post #6807778 Hey guys--was just scanning through and trying to catch up. I hope everyone is feeling better mentally this evening! So, I've got no equipment, no accessories. I've only the Canon Rebel XSi and kit lens. I think, though, that I might be in the market for lighting to use in a home studio type thing. No idea at all what to look for! I need cheap, but not crap. I want my husband to shoot budoir pics of me to hold me over until Diane shoots me. And I want studio pics of the kiddos. So...after I get the little ones in bed, I'll be popping something to dull the pain while I shop around! Who's going to be around to keep me company in a bit? abbie wrote in post #6807891 Ick. I don't think I've figured out what you do yet....so, what do you do?:p I work for a major telephone equipment manufacturing company. I work in R/D creating the new equipment that makes all the cool cell phone features possible. We sell our goods to all the majors, Verizon, Sprint, Alltel, and others. My specific job is managing all the groups that test all the features, debug the system, and put out sellable product. As most of these guys have moved off shore, I do everything remotly. I have a team in Japan, India, Korea, China, Indonesia, and Malasia. It's a diverse group but it keeps me up and online 18 hours a day. FuryMe wrote in post #6807963 Bummer It ain't so bad, why do you think I hang here so much. Work and hour, play an hour and so forth, sleep, and start it all over again. It pays the bills. Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Tanning beds are UV only and don't help metabolizing vit D. I've actually found that spending an hour a day outside in the sun works best so around lunch time I go take a walk. Trouble is that Chicago can be totally cloudy and grey for weeks on end. Not sure why, but call me JJ.
