I've had an iPhone since it was first released (upgraded to the 3G now) and absolutely love it. It's literally like having a small computer in my pocket that also makes phone calls. Not to mention Apple's customer support is top notch. I don't have any experience with BlackBerry so I can't chime in there.

In order to get email through the blackberry (if you're using microsoft exchange), you'll need a blackberry license for your exchange server.

It's worth asking yourself what functionality you need from the device and what overheads there are in order to get that functionality working.

I just went through the decision-making process on this one and opted for the iPhone. There are pluses and minuses to both, but the features I wanted most -- including wifi -- were solidly for the iPhone. Plus there are lots of fun apps for the iPhone now; there won't even be an app store for the Storm until March.

I have a iPhone (3G) and I love it better than any toy that I have. I read the reviews on that new backberry and it seems to be a great device, much more of a PDA than I am in need of. The only thing I miss on the iPhone is picturemail, other than that I am in heaven with this phone.

I have a store baught program that allows me to copy store baught DVD's to a format that will play beautifully on the iPhone, I carry all my favorite songs and videos with me, I have wi-fi which is the BOMB, itunes is really cool because you can buy tv shows, buy or rent movies, and then you have the podcast which are free.
And if you dont know about itunes or the app store just check them out because they are awsome features that the iPhone can make top notch use out of. Email is a breeze and if I had to spend time some where I might find my self being in the least bit bored then I would much rather have my iPhone than a laptop for company - I can go on and on about this phone but the only thing else I will tell you is have a travel type charger for car and get the 16gig if you think you will find your self carrying around a lot of media with you or see a lot of apps that you will want on your iPhone.

Guys thanks for all your feedback it seems the I phone gets the the thumbs up.

The only concerns I had on a reveiw where it compared them both were it knocked IPhone on

Email -saying it was clumsy and only checks every 5 mins (not that 5mins is a long time)

Sat Nav- google built in maps - but no turn by turn directions is this available in an extra app?

Typing - virtual keyboard- it said hard to type you had to reley on auto correct

Camera - only 2gb - but then we arent buying it as our main camera are we :)

Web- The best thing about it -resizing pages etc

Connections HSDPA (Whats that) super 3G , Edge (again?) GPRS and most importantly Wi-Fi

All those comments are off a reveiw so if you can put me straight on any negatives there appreciated ;)

-Email can be pushed straight from the server
-I've used the GPS plenty of times to help me get places, works great
-It will be somewhat awkward to use at first, but after about three days of use you'll become a pro at it and will probably turn auto correct off
-Camera - not a concert for anyone posting on POTN :)
-The browser is very intuitive and easy to use. Resizing web pages is as easy as double tapping a page, or using your thumbs/fingers to pinch/resize anything
-The connection automatically switches between WiFi/3G (if you have the 3G phone)/Edge based on availability.

I own the IP3G and I bought the Storm for my wife today. Both are great devices. But i will NEVER switch from the iPhone and love it. She wanted Verizon and thus the decision was made to get her the Storm. I could care less if IP3G is ATT because i wanted the phone more than the carrier.

Also, iP3G will push email in real time from Exchange Server. And, the Storm allows you to download a FREE application for the Enterprise Messenging Server that you can install on Exchanger Server but its only good for 1 free license. Its $90-$100 per extra license. I installed it today and it works great. I own my firm and therefore I only needed 1 license for my wife anyway (who works with me) so that worked out great.

If you have any specific questions ask away.

I ditched my Blackberry for an iphone, and don't regret the decision. As one poster said, it's like having a laptop in your pocket. The only drawback I found is the sort battery life.

You may want to check out the new iTouch too. It has skype capability and game upgrades, speakers. The one review I read raved about, but I can't find it again:(

I own an iTouch and rarely use it. I'm on my third Blackberry now. I get my email from AOL and so have no license issues.

If you text a lot or email a lot, there's just no substitute for a regular keyboard.

The first blackberry I owned was the 8320. It was a great phone, but the screen couldn't be seen outdoors, completely washed out in bright light. It also locked up constantly.

I replaced it with the Blackberry Curve which was much better, but the keyboard was disappointing, with too small keys.

I waited a long time for the Blackberry Bold to arrive. I just got it but had to switch from Verizon to At&t. Well, in the first two weeks, I've come to the conclusion that the Bold is the Best keyboard there is. The phone is great. Amazing screen. Has locked up once, today in fact.

But, At&t plain and simple, at least here in NY sucks. I've had so many dropped calls it's just ridiculous. Full signal, and calls just drop. Verizon is much, much better, just no question about it.

I played with the Storm, as I want to dump At&t within the first 30 days so I can just return it. The touch keyboard is terrible. I guess you can get used to anything, but I could barely type on it. Mistakes galore, keys that just don't come out, even though i was pressing and clicking down. Big disappointment IMO.

Now, I don't know what to do.

I played with the Storm on Friday and I really wasn't impressed with it's speed with loading apps. I'd go Iphone all the way.
