The new 2.2 iPhone firmware update came out a few days ago. Pretty cool, now we get street view in google maps along with public transit and walking directions.

I just read a review this morning about the storm. The major negative point the reviewer had was that it was slow. Slow to load apps, slow to perform certain functions. Nothing too debilitating, but certainly annoying to the reviewer.

I have the iPhone. The first gen was amazing, my 3G, not so much. It has tendencies to lock up on me on occasion and crash. That's something the first gen never did. Plus it's got this annoying thing where I go from an area with no service to an area with service and it can take a minute or two before the phone gets service. My first gen never did that and I could go from no service to full bars because of walking from my office to outside of the building.

I won't get rid of it though. It's miles above any other phone I've used and I like having it as a sort of traveling portfolio.

My village called. I was told that they missed me.

Speedotron users, untie!

I've had an iPhone since it was first released (upgraded to the 3G now) and absolutely love it. It's literally like having a small computer in my pocket that also makes phone calls. Not to mention Apple's customer support is top notch. I don't have any experience with BlackBerry so I can't chime in there.

Agree 100% --- the iPhone is faster than many computers I have had.
