GORGEOUS. Love the colors.

Congrats again to Curt!

Beautiful!! Love the colors!

Thank you. Every now and again I get lucky with all elements coming together on one of my favorite subjects to photograph.:D I would love to have the time and gear to sit in a blind and shoot wildlife. Until then, I try to keep my eyes open and gear ready when nature decides to lend me a split second opportunity.

Morning all. Ok, you asked for bad Elk pictures so here you go.

Considering the light, I don't think those are bad at all. And you got the bulls, they eluded me last year in Yellowstone.:(

This is Jewell Meadows out toward Seaside.

For some reason I never put Oregon and Elk together. I always think of Elk along the Rockies and Alaska.

Congrats to Curt again.
I'd like to have snow for Christmas. Except for the first year we lived here, we've just gotten dustings of snow. Not enough to even build a snowman.

VERY good shots of the woodpecker.

Thanks on both counts. I thought you got a few inches last year, though it didn't last long. I remember telling you to make a snow angel.:D

I am going to fix it up at home then do it on a blue background with a happy holidays theme and send it out to our many many supporters.

I like it Crissa and I'm sure the supporters will be very appreciative of the card.

My sister does have the manual and has claimed to have read it cover to cover as I watched her take a picture of her kids with the bright sun directly behind them.

Reading and understanding are two different things, just say'n. I can read stuff 50 times and just not "get it". Let me do it or show me and it generally sticks to me like glue.

I just called and got signed up to go on a feeding tour for February 9th so I am hoping it will be one of those very rare nice sunny days in the middle of winter.

Great opportunity, I hope the weather cooperates for you. Any chance of beig able to break in a new lens on this venture?

For some weird reason that reminded me that I took a picture of my new desk at work this morning, but haven't posted it yet.

First thing I noticed was the color. I have monitor envy now, too.

Portable urinal, Lonnie's position is too important for him to take any time to vacate his post.

Ewww!

I might. But 2.1 messed up the way some of my sliders work. I couldn't use my mouse scroller to adjust sliders anymore.

R and L arrows no longer work on the sliders with 2.1 either.:(

I am hoping tomorrow I get a call with a simple fix, I'm thinking thyroid or maybe diabetes. Anything but the big C.

I hope so too on the simple fix. I so hear all of you on family and furkids coming first.

Kewl, isn't that the plant that is so hard to germinate? I remember how excited you were when the seedlings appeared.

Different plant alltogether. This is the one that's really easy to take care of, but very hard to get flowering. My seedling passionfruit grew way too slowly, and now that the cool season is here ... well, they won't be flowering :(

Also, my first attempt at focus stacking in PS..

(edit) and yeah, it's pretty dusty and grungy. It doesn't get a whole lot of water, so it kind of collects dust :)

Neat, we need a daily update on the bloom like Cat made me do with the tulip. (she really twisted my arm hard for that...

OK, my hand...erhm...

little finger...

tweaked my nail...OK, OK, she asked and I jumped at the opportunity. :D ;)

A lithop.

It's a desert plant. It's native habitat is rocky soils, looking down from the top it blends in well with the rocks it lives around.

Er, I think Zane made that up ... or one of our more "colorful" members.
