I was reading my email and got a flyer from them for their 70% sale.....I couldn't let a sale go unpublished now could I? Not the High Priestess of TMS! now I'm gone.

btw...they have lots of sets on sale...maybe something there you guys might like.

and yes Alyssa...with Colin Firth...that's the one.

"A Christmas Carol" No, not that one either, although there have been many good productions of it over the years

I think I know what it is. And if it what I think it is, I've only seen it once.

Wow, that sounded weird.

The Mark III story:

I had a 40D and was very happy with it. Lisa just picked up a 1Ds MkII for a song and she then had the 1Ds mkII, 1D MkIII and a 40D. I didn't want the MkIII. It's more camera than I need. So, we tried to sell it. At that point, as it is now, the market for the infamous MkIII is incredibly soft. What with the 1DsMkIII coming out, no one was interested in the MkIII. I didn't want to sell the MkIII for cheap, as we bought it for a LOT. So, I just decided to keep it. At that point, Lisa had the 1DsMkII and a 40D. I had the MkIII and a 40D. Then I gave my 40D to Little so now I just have the MkIII.

Truth be told, I like the MkIII, but it's a lot of camera to haul around for a wedding.

Different plant alltogether. This is the one that's really easy to take care of, but very hard to get flowering. My seedling passionfruit grew way too slowly, and now that the cool season is here ... well, they won't be flowering

Also, my first attempt at focus stacking in PS..

(edit) and yeah, it's pretty dusty and grungy. It doesn't get a whole lot of water, so it kind of collects dust

sorta kewl lookin!

Scroll wheel? I use arrow keys or type in the value that I want.

Not that I know of.....personally, I have not yet experienced any problems with LR 2 besides the memory leak which has gotten better with 2.1 *knock on wood*

Yeah, I use the scroll wheel. I didn't have any problems with memory leak. I think I'll be staying with 2.0

Christmas tree is up. Not decorated but up. I like to leave it for a day or two and let the cats get it out of their system (yeah right). It's the first time we've had a real tree since we had Pacha. He's trying to climb it as usual and the branches are too supple. So he's howling..gutteral like...and attempting to climb and falling and howling and attempting to climb....lol

Those pics are just hilarious!! Still glad I don't have a cat though... We use to have a male dog that liked to pee on the xmas tree

How do you like the light conditions I was up against this afternoon? And the angle wasn't great from where I was sitting, behind Curt while he was waiting his turn, I really was the "Woman behind the man."

You captured the moment very well! Great pics!

Your link was mangled. I fixed it for you.

That guy is crazy!

HAHHAHA yeah, although I have never met him, hubby knows him fairly well.

I thought about doing that. But I poured the first one and ended up drinking it. So I poured another and drank that one too. Then I forgot why I was making the TS's.

hmmmm I've done that a time or two...;)

It woulda been successful if I knew how the song goes. But, since I don't, it's just random words on the screen to me.

That is tooo cute!!! And you really need the 40D to get the best pic. ;)

just checking in to show you a good deal...if any of you read Jane Austen and have (or have not) seen this Pride and Prejudice mini-series...it's the least expensive I've ever seen it and it's wonderful. (I buy from this place all the time. Just love it.)

Thanks Lisa, I've seen it and would enjoy seeing it again. It's an excellent production. btw..... what does it actually mean when you say " good night everyone"? Is it some sort of code to switch channels or something?

Have you seen the "uncensored" version (as if the theater release was censored...)? It's the DVD release called Badder Santa. That's the version I saw. I think I read somewhere that it has more four-letter words than any other movie, ever.

What she means is, "Good Night." Then she really does go to bed.

For about ten minutes. Then she gets back up again until she says, "Good Night" again, at which time she goes back to bed.

For about ten minutes.

It's a vicious cycle.

And it's all true.
