Ok, I can't argue with the results (external link), but ... why do a TTD shoot anyway? Seems like an awful waste of a perfectly good garment.

some people think "I will never wear this again and I paid a fortune for it, I'd like to have a romantic shoot with my husband...those memories will last forever". Honestly, the people we get the most referrals from are the ones who've done that shoot. It's all about them, not the family, not the ceremony, no restrictions...just romance.

Who prints the images for Smugmug, I'm really satisfied with their work. And the metallic prints are outstanding.

I have never liked metallic. Never. OK, maybe not for the stuff I take, but the metallic look just doesn't work for me .. What subject matter does it actually produce an acceptable image?

I think that those photos turned out pretty great. Why not trash it? you're never going to wear it again..

I printed Dan's horses photo on metallic...my gosh it turned out gorgeous.

It needs to be a rich colors, moody style shot to look good on metallic, imo.

That's something I've never been unable to understand. The bride goes out and spends thusands of dollars on a dress she'll never wear again and the groom rents a tux... Why not rental wedding dresses too? It would have to be much less expensive and then the bride isn't stuck with a useless dress...

I have a whole bunch o' Mpix prints on my walls. Metallic, canvas, poster size, you name it. I love 'em, too.

I always got excellent results from Isgo Lepejian, a local photo lab in Burbank, and I still feel guilty sometimes about not staying with them, but they just aren't convenient any more... :(

For custom framing, though, I still go to Aaron Brothers. I'm not a fan of Mpix's frames.

Oops. I added the smiley (which used the cliboard ...) then tried to link to what I was gonna link to.. duh.

Read this (external link) ... if this happened to me, I'd be pissed

Me too...

And, for the record, I DO look at all the images big sized.

And, now that the server is back up, I'm going home.

Getting married wasn't meant to make sense... ;)

Yeah, that's one subject where I'm a little grumpy and obnoxious, too.

Nature and Landscape is done ;)

Only a TON more voting to go. lol

And whoever said it earlier, the slideshow IS a great way to browse all the images. N&L was actually a lot easier than I expected.
