Ewww, yuck! Did it look like Halloween all year long?

Pretty much. It's kind of funny that everyone in my house will have had the same school colors and I grew up 4.5 hours from where I live now.

My HS colors were orange and black. We were the loggers. Where I teach the colors are red and black and they're the miners.

Actually, so were my high school colors orange and black. They were awful. Still don't like orange, but we were the Cougars.

Yeah, pretty much. Made for an ugly school....not a lot that "goes" with orange and black.

My wife came to me a little while ago and asked which shoe goes better with her outfit. I said either is fine they are both brown. Unfortunately one of them was navy blue. I blamed it on the 6500k lighting in the office.

well happy holidays then!! see you when you've got a chance to drop in :)

Thanks Permie. Other than cleaning house, working and getting ready for my family to come, I should be online for most of the next week or so. I decided to depend on one of the other friends for my dog and cat sitting, and asked her to take tomorrow, as I am beat and will have to work in the rain tomorrow.

Evening everyone. I screwed up royally. I let the doc talk me into taking out the lowers as well. SOB they hurt. The tops don't hurt at all but the bottoms fell like chernobyl in my mouth.

The getting knocked out wasn't bad. Doc says your head might start spinning in a second. I reply it kinda feels like high school. Next thing I know they are walking me to the lazy boy chair.

Just after John and I met, my wisdom teeth got infected. The dentist recommended that I get them all removed at the same time. I had two impacted, one infected and one growing in sideways. I told him that my sister had an allergic reaction to the injected stuff, so I got the gas. Did not have many problems after, but it helped me quit smoking, as I could not smoke until the gums were healed.

great stuff John. Why is there only one kitten?

The mom only had one. This is her second litter this year and when she gave birth this time, she only had one.

PIrates...go figure

Bucineer here, Belvidere Bucs is the team name.

Bear nibbled on food all day long, we gave him his scoop of food in the morning and he would take all day eating it. Sometimes bringing it on the rug sometimes not. What I loved was when he would try to "bury" his milk bone under the bath mat or in a corner. This usually happened when there was a storm a-brewing. Guess he thought he better stash his food just in case he made it through the storm.

Fly by post before going to bed. The ballet was good, that cute factor goes along way. Lots of talent in the older kids.

OoooOooo, looks like you three had loads of fun. I'd like to do stuff like that, but the wife would rather go shopping and I don't like to.

mtnphtgrphr wrote in post #6873315 (external link)
A potter was there in the studio today, and she let the boys experience working on a potter's wheel! It was totally spontaneous on her part, she was working and attracted Sean and Alex's attention. They watched her for a long time, asked her questions and then she let them try it out! VERY Cool!
You can see Alex holding a scoring tool on the right... he was creating a design in the side of the cup.

Fun! Just don't let them watch Ghost.

It's been used in a few. The one I remember is "Some Like It Hot" (1959) with Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon and Marilyn Monroe.

I think that is the movie I saw it in.
