Chester is gone....

with the understanding that if he hasn't found a home by the end of the month, we will take him back in for longer fostering.

And after talking with the lady from the rescue place, and telling her everything about him, she told us that she'd be taking him home with her to spend the holidays, rather than taking him to the rescue shelter home. (WOO HOO!)

Sad to see him go?.... looking to foster another?

lol! I've been trying not to use the "awesome" (sorry Neil) word  but honestly some of those underwater shots are "extremely impressive or daunting; inspiring great admiration"

BearLeeAlive wrote in post #6764531 (external link)
I hear you, every time I think of using the word "awesome", the denouncement of the word by Neil ALWAYS pops into my head.

Ooops, I think I may have said the wrong thing back there.

My son, dil, and grandsons are leaving on Sunday for a 2 week vacation in Kona... I told them to watch out for strong currents if they go snorkeling!

We got the "big island revealed" book (they sell it at the costco there on the big island)...great book for finding cool things that are often overlooked!

I hope they have a good time.

I never even considered that. She's so skinny, not the normal bullet shape. Wow. Where were you diving?

 I gave her a cd with all his pictures on it to use on his adoption ad. And gave her a write up with all of his wonderful fantastic traits. Some of which NOW include: gets along with other dogs, cats, and children. Housebroken, comes when called, sleeps (confined) all night.

Just fine. Really. He's a doll, and I was sad to give him up, but ok with it. My girls will be getting some much needed over-attention for a little while. ;)

And yes, she put us on a permanent foster home list for short term care. *YAY*

Everyone's shots of the ocean life reminded me of something i read at the beginning of the year that was very interesting. It is a good read for anyone into enjoying aquatic life:

LINK (external link)

it is a couple of years old, but talks about how the oceans are being killed off by man and pollution...worth a read :)
