Cat the first picture is great. You can even just see the catch light in her left eye.

It was us and the fire departmen this year, last year they gave each charity $4700.00 so we are hopeful that we will be as lucky! We also plan on attending and walking every year (I had my guys get sponsors like everyone else) because I feel it is important for my guys to understand helping others and giving to others as so many give to us. I never saw it happen as we were out in the middle of a pitch dark park. All the quills were in his front left paw, and he really couldn't walk. That, and I did not want him to embed them worse, so I carried him down the hill and out, over 1/2 mile. Man, a 37 lb, awkward to carry dog can really wear on ones arms. There is a pedestrian bridge over a major road that we cross with a streetlight on on side that we were half way up on due to being on the bridge. Good thing for carrying a Leatherman Tool, I used it to pull all 27 quills out. Jasper yipped and struggled a wee bit, but for the most part was a great patient. He seems to be ok now. Probably a bit tender, but I will look close again in the morning. -JIM-
