had the Sigma 50 1.4, AWESOME build, nice AF, razor sharp wide open. I just never used it and I am not a prime shooter so I sold it..Funny thing is I want to buy another one..Even though I know I probably wont use it..it was a very very nice lens

I've had a few 50 f/1.4's since I bought my first Canon 16 years ago. It's a staple for my available-light work and on my 40/20D bodies the crop factor makes it a great concert venue lens not to mention portraits. I think I'd find serious use for a f/1.2 but I'll be getting a 70-200 2.8 IS before I ever get a 50/1.2.

I have an old 50/1.8 with a UC date code and its still performing wonderfully.

Had a Pentax 50/1.7 and and Canon 50/1.8 I during film days but now prefer 35mm on a 1.6 crop camera.

Had a 50 1.8 MKII and sold it on here I believe because I found a MKI in the closet here that was from my fiancee's mom's older EOS film camera. The build of the Mark I is so much nicer than the II.
