I've seen some really great shots through fences when the shutter was slowed way down and pan. We're talking 1/15 sec or so. You don't get many keepers, but using a wide angle to short teleconverter you get a real good blur and a car in focus.

Downside to any closed track is safety fences if you don't have media creds. But the fences are there for a reason.

I like racing of any style, but I think Tamrac did a great job of trying to tell a story with his NASCAR shots.
