Messing around with her lighting style....... 8 lights
I did not make my son cry for the pic..... Set up lights and waited for one of his moments.

Light consisted of :
AB 1600 camera right in large Foldable Octa Box... Front Diffuser left off
AB 1600 with silver umbrella camera left
AB ringflash on camera
AB 800 on Avenger A700 boomstand for Mola Demi w/my grid for hairlight
AB 800's in PCB Beauty Dishes w/ my grids camera right and left and behind for rim lights
Two 580 EX speedlights on white background (Gradient added in post)

Lol or sniff I'm not sure!
Looks like the 'Gerber' kid after a spanking.
If you went for emotion and intensity... it's a winner
I find the background halo/diffusion is spot on, but would like to see more intense catchlights in the eyes. Also, a crop with a little less torso in it would be less personal, but more intense.

great lighting! I agree with the comment of less torso showing and perhaps messy hair would work well next time. How is the post processing done to get the effect that is achieved in the 4 images you posted?

Canon XTi / 55-250mmIS / NiftyFifty / 75-300mm / 430EX II / hopefully a whole lotta luck

I'd say you have it pretty close if not exactly Greenberg. I'm a fan of that processing as well... just never had the patience to do the dodge and burn :)

Artistically, EXCELLENT! Socially...it's almost disturbing seeing naked children crying like that...as another had stated, what was done or said to the kids to make one cry as hard as some of the images portrayed?
