I think it's going to be one of those things like Dave Hill- many attempts, but none spot on, and certainly the original artist isn't going to share. Otherwise it wouldn't be their unique style.

Beautiful shots!

Socially...it's almost disturbing seeing naked children crying like that...as another had stated, what was done or said to the kids to make one cry as hard as some of the images portrayed?

Hardly disturbing really. Kids that age cry a lot. At least most of them do. It's part of being a kid and to have that photographed is a beautiful thing IMHO.

Something as simple as taking a toy away from a child that age can evoke a fit that would wake the dead. Some friends of mine went to a photographer that did that very thing because they wanted some pictures of their little girl crying for some shots similar to this. No biggie. Once the toy was returned it was like flipping a switch. No more tears and I'm sure within ten minutes the child had forgotten all about it. We shouldn't assume it was some cruelty that brought that response.

I think you nailed it.

and to all the people wondering...im pretty sure she said she just gave them candy and then took it away - to make them cry

Lol or sniff I'm not sure!
Looks like the 'Gerber' kid after a spanking.

If that's how the Gerber baby responded to candy being taken away, he needed a spankin'!! LOL!!!

Thanks for the comments everyone...
Kinda stumbled back on the thread and wanted to say thanks.
Nobody else give this light a shot? If you don't have the gear team up with another photographer.
