Dole container ship in San Diego back in August. Not a fancy composition, but I wasn't concerned at the time.

Even looks like a banana! ^

I'm going crazy, I got alot I want to share  I really like this one with the long shutter. Some people would have rather the freighter been in focus the whole time.

Just for the record. they're ships not boats. Anything 100' or over is a ship, anything less is a boat.

Ships have a keel, boats have flat bottom

here's a few of our training ship, not very big by industry standards. only 500 feet long and 72 feet on the beam.

this one I'm rather fond of.

Some say the "P" in POTN = Pedantic

(Guilty of it myself from time to time...)

So, if the demensions matter and the design matters...

Why do Naval Aviators call the carrier "The Boat" and why do Submariners call their craft "The Boat?" ;)

haven't seen a small freighter like that in a while (in the last pic) I'm told there are still some kicking around in the south pacific hauling cargo the some of the islands.
