Because I shoot events a lot, the 24-70 and 70-200 zoomie's are the lenses of choice for me. Always shooting in a crowded room severely limits the vantage points I can shoot from. I need the versatility that zooms provide to get the shots the client asks for. The only other lens I bring to indoor events is the 16-35 for large posed group shots. Can't say that I'd buy the soon-to-be-released IS version of the 24-70 though. Doesn't seem necessary for a short lens like that.

Seeing as if I do a lot of editing on most of the pic's I take anyway (mostly to make them look more distinctive from pic's taken with high end P&S's) it's not a problem to bring out "prime-looking" features in posed group shots taken with zoom lenses.;)

Though it is not the most frequently used lens in my arsenal, the 85/1.2 L is my favorite lens, and I cannot see departing with for less than $1650.

Nah, not napalm, I think just something simple.

They actually did more on Friday than Saturday. A Hawker Hunter that flies for dissimilar air combat training made a low pass and "dropped" this string of bombs. On Friday, the Hunter didn't fly and we had to count down to the big boom.

Does anyone have a 85L 1.2 or a 50L 1.2 I can borrow or rent? I need one for my son's upcoming birthday?
