Hi all, I need some tips on what kind of monopod to use with a 300 2.8.
I have a Manfrotto 680B and a 322RC2 grip.
I really just need suggestions on a head for the monopod that will support the 300.

With the 300 2.8, which has a tripod mounting ring, you don't need a ball head. If you also intend to use it with a ringless lens, mounting the camera to the monopod, look at the 486RC2. Jon
