Hello,

kind of an odd question...

is the viewfinder eyepiece thing replaceable as a unit itself?

I'm not referring to the eyecup, but the thing behind it, looks like four screws are holding it on?

If it is, does anyone know how much it would be?

thanks

Eric

You mean the pentaprism or the little glass viewing hole thing....

Is it the big prism thing or just the glass thing behind it

Also what is wrong with the camera, is there a crack in the VF that you can feel from the back if you stick your hand on the VF, or is it deeper inside or what??

Mark

if you remove the eyecup, there seems to be a crack in the viewfinder. its nothing interna. i dont think it is the penta prism at all.

You can send it into Canon and they can repair it. If it's just a crack in the viewfinder, it should not be a problem.
