OK, so i bought a practically "brand new" flash off a member about a month ago. I test fired it a few times with the onboard button and played around with my cycber syncs a time or two but no real photo shoot type stuff.

Anyways, last night i tried to shoot some portraits of my g/f and it fired a few times then it stopped recycling. Now, when i turn it on the green light up top comes on but the light near the bottom that indicates that it is ready to fire refuses to light up.

It does however sound like it is trying to charger/recycle.

I have tried multiple pairs of freshly charged powerex 2700's, regular panisonic AA akalines and no difference.

The power dial lights up when i press the white button.

Any thoughts? is it just shot? I am kinda peeved as i really don't have the money to buy another flash right now.

The battery compartment smells kinda like electronic burning which doesn't seem like a good sign.
