That is truly incredible video from a "camera". I am totally impressed. This is really going to change the way we do things. I can really see the need for us wedding shooters to get in touch with out video editing side quickly.

a few comments: the footage looks good on the web but lets see it on an HD TV set. Personally, I think it will rock there too.

"Edited in Final Cut Pro, the footage was all converted to Apple Prores 422 using MPEG Streamclip because there were problems using the native H.264 Mpeg files. It was exported as a QT at 720p. There was no grading, exposure or colour correction on this footage" -- Too bad FCP doesn't have support for native m2t files or in this case H264 MPEG files without using Streamclip. The ability to drop a video file onto the timeline without rendering or converting is really nice. That's the way it was in SD (standard definition) days!

What I like about the 5D 2 is that unlike a lot of video cams with a built in do it all lens, you have a great lens selection for more creativity. I'll still use my Sony Z1 for video but the future is changing mighty fast. My sony Z1 records to tape at 1440 X 1080i and this 5D is 1920 X 1080. Imagine that, a still camera with better video resolution that my 5k video cam. Ouch!
