according to butterflyphoto, their price dropped by 2 dollars since yesterday, and is now at 489. lol. now im tempted to wait a little longer :D.

Butterfly Photo may be pretty agressive at selling accessories. Check them out at resellerratings.com There are people who love them and thaose who hate them.

The G6 is a great little camera, you'll love it. I've had mine for about 3 months now.

Bestbuy

I printed the list of prices from pricegrabber and took it into Bestbuy and they matched the lowest price on the list, $494.00 . I figured they would come down but didn't expect them to match the lowest internet price. Needless to say I now own a G6

! best buy matched an internet price? lucky you. when i went to my best buy with an internet price they said its their policy not to match internet prices. of course with tax it would have turned out more expensive.

It was a bit more with taxes but worth it to me because I wanted their extended warranty since it covers normal wear and tear where Mack warranty does not. One BB store wouldn't match them but the second one I went to did. I guess the manager there was a bit more aggressive and figure a small profit was better than none!

Like I said, you can't take pictures with the camera you're going to get.

That sums it up nicely.

There will always be a 'better price' or 'newer model'.

Best regards,
Andy

I ordered my G6 from Dell a week ago to upgrade from my G3 and received it today. Dell had marked it down 10% plus had a stackable coupon which reduced the price to $434 with free shipping. Even though there were comments about Dell warning of long back orders, the price was too good to pass up. I'm very pleased to have received my G6 from Dell so quickly and am looking forward to shooting lots of pics.
