Does anyone feel that the photo gods are against him or her?

Seriously...

On Sunday, I broke my 75-300mm when I put it in my backpack, put the pack on a bench, and it slipped off. Repair estimate: $100.

On Wednesday, I turn on my SX100 to find that blasted "lens error" problem that won't go away this time (other times it's just temporary). Camera shop guy says it'll cost $150 to fix.

I still have yet to pay for them (my parents bought them, I'll pay them back in due time) and now I have to spend more to find replacements.

I think I've upset the balance somehow, and I'm wondering, what's next?

The SX100 should be under warranty.

I bought that model off of eBay. Original camera owner said that the camera was more than a year old when I emaield him today.

Well it can't be much more than a year old. It was announced August 20, 2007. I don't know when they actually became available, but it certainly wouldn't have been before then.

Buying second hand makes it moot anyway.
