Why not share picture style to each other? Use Picture Style Editor to create your file and upload it here.
Here are a style that gives you a blue sky, just download and add in your picture style in DPP:

Good idea. I don't have a custom yet, but I'm interested in seeing what people use.

I'm going to go out on a limb and sound foolish, but what do you do with the .pf2 file? I went from a 20D with no pic styles to a 50D that has them. I know how to use the on the camera, but I have not idea of what to do with the files (which applications use them, etc).

You can can either upload them to the camera with EOS Utility for use in shooting jpgs or use them in RAW conversion in either ZB/RIT or DPP.

Great thread.

Peter, the link to your second Picture Style SKADOW_HIGHLIGHTS doesn't work. The effect looks great on both of them though. Can't wait to try them out. Thanks.

Hi Peter, no luck. If I click on the link in your first post I get the same result, but when I click on the zip file just below the pics (Blue_Heaven.zip) in your first post it downloads just fine??? I'm not the most computer literate person in the world so it my just be me. The shadow/highlight one looks really nice but I'm not bright enough to get it on my computer.:o

Well I'll be swoon-hoggled in a pig pen! I didn't know DPP did that!

I've been using ACR for years and about 2 months ago finally gave up and started using DPP.

Couple of questions:

1. Is there a central database / website that contains a whole bunch of downloadables?

2. Are the styles variable? For example, if you use the one mentioned above to enhance blue skies, can you vary the intensity of blue from minimum to maximum?

1. Follow the link in DognBone's post above for the additional Styles supplied by Canon.
2. Using Picture Style Editor you can make as many custom Styles as you want, varying luminousity and/or color values. Also, since you load a RAW file into PSE in order to preview the effect as you are setting the values, you could make a custom P.S. specifically for a given RAW and when you get it to what you want, save it and then go to DPP and apply the saved P.S. Because it means working with two separate applications, it seeems a bit slow but it will give you very powerful control. I can't understand why P.S.E. is a standalone and not integrated into DPP.
