I went to a house concert Sunday to see Barbara Payton. She's toured with Bob Seger, Kid Rock..., & you've seen her here before.

I think the images rock. Never heard of her so I did a search and really enjoyed what I heard. Glad she's from Michigan. I'm hoping to get into the studio with my Christian band come this Spring. Thanks for sharing.

Each pic stands well on it's own, making for a strong set.

1,7 and 8 look very nice to me. seems like cool place to be at.

about shooting next to speakers - glad for you it wasnt heavy metal band

I learned that lesson shooting video at the Palace. I didn't expect to have to put my ear next to the speaker to get the angle for shot #7, though. Basic protection is now permanently in my case now.

It can be tough to get the images to work together. The whole thing took 5 hours & a big part of that was spent scratching my head & looking for images to put in the spots that were left after the first few were placed.

My experience exactly. I've done a few basic collages, and the biggest part of the work *by far* is selecting the images, and see what goes where...

That took about 2 days (after initial selection was done!), the actual creating of 13 collages was a few hours. (Drag and drop into a fixed "template"). For those interested: Click.

Heads up! For anyone interested, I've just learned that she'll be performing with Kid Rock at the Inaugural Youth Ball that President Obama will be attending. They will be doing about 4 songs acoustically and one of them is suppose to air on MTV between 9-11pm.

Those look good, René. Having a template to work with would help with a consistent "look", too.
