I shot my first e-session this Wed. for a friend. I know this lacks in comparison to most I see on this forum but I was wondering if I could get some C&C. Thanks in advance.

Looks pretty good but the first thing that I notice is that it should be cropped tighter

I really liked this shot- very natural an unposed, which I personally prefer.

OK- I sharpened it a bit, and cropped it significantly. Becuase you did not get the guy's whole feet in, and because he's wearing white shoes, I found this very distracting, and liked it better without it. Also, I took away the road at the top of the photo- I tohught it added an unnecessary element to the photo- made it too busy. I cropped it down, in fact, to as small as I could get it with both people in view. I also slightly bumped up the mid-tone contrast.

I notice that her shirt appears to be "blown", in that the camera was unable to record any detail in the cloth, as it was too bright. I use my camera with the display set to give me a highlight warning that lets me know when this is happening, and I check it constantly when shooting in contrasty situations like this one. Upon finding that this scene had something really important, like he shirt, blowing out, I would have either tried to turn down the exposure compensation, so the whole picture is captured, or used fill-flash.

Now, having said all that, I'm pretty new at this, so PLEASE take my comments with a large chunk of rock salt!
