I have a lot, but probably this one as the most recent. This is a shot I took at our annual Firefighters Memorial Service a week ago of the wife and grand-daughter of a Chief who passed away on duty last year. She had just placed the carnation on his name on the memorial.

It was especially moving for me as I had known him for over 20 years & it was totally unexpected when he passed.

Technically crap and the colour is way off, as they are scans from some 40yr old slides, but they always bring a smile to my face

Not sure if it's my best but I keep coming back to it. I think it's because it's the most story-heavy picture I've taken.

edit: actually you know what, it's kind of a toss-up with that one:

This is my favourite at the moment. I like it because I think it's a decent picture, but also because I wanted to learn a different lighting technique, had something in my mind how I wanted it and really worked on it so I got what I wanted.

Probably this one. It is of my buddy and his goat named Buddy. We were hiking and the goat loved to play a game where he'd run at you and headbutt your foot. I caught them both at the right time in this one.

I know we all have those shots that everything just seemed to work out perfectly.

Please post one and tell why it is your favorite.

im not sure if it is in here or another forum but i made a similar thread where you post your best shot on the year and many people liked that idea

I think this is mine, completely unplanned. Had my camera with me while watching my nephew and snapped this picture of him.

I have a couple of B&W shots I really like but I'll have to go with this one.
