It seems that I'm reading more and more threads about Nikon cameras lately in this forum. Many members who have bought Nikon cameras continue to hang around here as they feel welcome, and there is nothing equivalent (or as good) in the Nikon realm to discuss photography. I know this sounds crazy in a "Canon" forum, but should begin to include a designated "Nikon" section?

Maybe, maybe not, but Nikon users are more than welcome to contribute and learn here!

Maybe it should stop being just a Canon forum?
I'm all for making this a digital photography forum with equipment sections.

 Boo. Would rather see another Nikon site created, than this Canon one becoming just another general photography forum. What makes this forum so great is that Canon users are able to come to get specific information and gain knowledge regarding their cameras. Adding Nikons would only add confusion as we would have people using different lingos (Canon vs. Nikon) on here. Not to mention, we all know the Canons are better!;)

Keep the CANON DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY forum a CANON forum! :D:D:D

No this forum is run by Pekka and it is completely independant of Canon.

POTN has no affiliation with canon.

You might think so, and I am surprised that lighting bolts form heaven did not come crashing down on the OP's post ;)

I think the reason your seeing many more Nikon words is simple, Canon is having a very difficult time with producing a quality camera. Nikon is on top of the game right now, canon is not. Now I understand the canon faithful will take acceptation to this simple fact. But like the past Nov elections, not everyone who voted knew exactly why they voted, they just voted because... well that is what they know

You can talk all you want about Nikons in the "General Photography Talk" section. I personally haven't seen any Nikon threads get locked/deleted in that section for the simple reason of it not being Canon.
