Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone has experience using PSE6 to down load raw file from 50D. Or, any pointers will be appreciated as well.
My current ACR version is 4.2 that came with PSE.
Thanks in advance.

Upgrade the ACR plugin from Adobe.
Windows: http://www.adobe.com …ads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4220 (external link)
MAC: http://www.adobe.com …ads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4219 (external link)

Follow the instructions on where to install it CLOSELY. (Also if you haven't tried them, use the camera-matching profiles. Not sure if they're installed with the ACR plugin itself, you may need to install the DNG converter.)

Thanks again.

That's the profiles I mentioned. For many the default conversion by acr leaves something to be desired. When installed go to calibration tab and you can choose one of the alternate profiles some of which mimic the picture styles of canon cameras. If you find one you like you could set it to be defaut to automatically use when opening a raw image from that camera.
