I recently have been reading on this board about people getting these 30% off dealers buying stuff from ebay and this has something to do with live.com???

I was looking at buying a canon 50D so it would be nice if you guys can explain to me how this works, thanks!

You'd be better off asking the sellers this, You can't really trust everybody with your money on ebay.
I wouldn't ever buy a camera online through ebay, could be faulty, warenteeless, you may not get it or it could be a cheap immitation.
You're best off looking at price averages online and if it is reasonably close to the average then it's usually safe. If the seller is representing an online shop, try reseller ratings websites for their unbiast opinions before continuing.

Hope this helps.

You need a live cashback account that you log into at live.com

then do a live search(not cashback search) for Canon 50D.
Keep refreshing search until you see a sponsored ad for Ebay stating 30% cashback with a little gold coin. (it may take a few times) Sometimes it's only 25% so if it says that don't keep refreshing that's the going rate.
Click the ad, it'll bring you to Ebay. You can now get whatever % cashback it said in the ad as long as you use Buy It Now and paypal.
After you confirm the bid and pay for paypal you'll get a message in your My Ebay that says you're entitled to $XXX.XX dollars cashback.
Click the Cashback Button to sign into Live Cashback again.
It may take a few minutes but it'll appear in your pending cash back area.

I recently saved $75.00 on an Ipod and Wii Game.

Good Luck.

^^ yep, what he said. I recently bought a 30mm f/1.4 lens and saved $120! Now keep in mind that the 30% cash back has a limit of $200 off per purchase.

I made a account on live.com (arcel842@live.com (external link)) and started searching. I searched canon 50D in the regular live serach and could not find anything, nothing with the discount. I searched other things as well and nothing as well. Is this normal? or is it rare to get cashback.

Seems like it's only 8% for me now. Any idea why?
