I'm getting a Domke F-6 bag, some ND filters, and an IR filter from Mr. Kringle. How about you?

I had a hard time coming up with things for a list that I need under say $75... I asked for a white balance / colorsquare card and hopefully I'll get another Domke gripper strap for my 1N. Other than that? I almost put a chocolate brown F2 on my list, but hell if I need another bag. I ended up with a list of photo books I want --

Paris, Robert Frank

Small World, Martin Parr

Facing New York, Bruce Gilden

Anything I don't have from Henri Cartier-Bresson

When I was asked what I wanted for Christmas I put forward either a D300 body or a new watch. Since making choices I've decided I'd really rather have the D300 but I have a feeling it's too late. I reckon that after Christmas I'll simply be watching time until I can afford the D300 myself.

I'm getting the 5DII for myself (early bonus) the wife will be getting me a grip and extra battery. So she is giving me the gift of equipment and tolerance in letting me spend this much on a camera. :D

I have asked for a Canon 450D Twin IS Lens Kit.

But I have also said I can use it to take photos of our new baby when it arrives;)

I am reading this and am thinking that I'm so lucky. I don't really need anything. All year I've bought stuff, including 4 more bags. :) My collection is getting ridiculous. But I think this holiday season, I'm getting my CPU upgraded and that's it. I am considering getting CS4, but that would be it. I'm pretty happy with my current line-up. A 5DII in the future, but not right away. I want to wait until I have the cash for it.

But everyone go ahead and enjoy the season. Stimulating the economy is good.

Most definitely. Public programs won't get us out of this rut, consumer spending will.
