Yeah, I was undecided between a full standard crop with all joints as usual or this closer crop. I tried for something different so I went with the above.

Luckily I have the larger crop as well:

...think what I'm missing is the rule of thirds catching the power of her eyes, beautiful eyes.

Fantastically beautiful reds and other colours there! How come I don't see any rain on the flower (since we haven't had any dry weather here in days - Boston!)

There's a few rain drops on the pedals... I hear you, about the weather. Its been a crazy month. Next thing you know it will probably be in the 90's and humid and people will probably complain about that too :-)

I wish I had a picture of me taking that picture... Since I don't I will try and paint it for you... In one hand I have my 5D Mark II with the Battery Grip, ST-E2 Transmitter and my 70-200mm f/2.8L IS on it. In the other hand I had My 580 EX II as far out as I could hold it. Believe me it was hard keeping steady and I'm kind of surprised that the pics came out as good as they did :-)

Camera settings were - manual, ISO 100, f/8 @ 1/100. Shot RAW, converted with almost no tweaks in DPP and a slight crop.
